Pre-requisites
Please note that CQI-IRCA recommends that learners have knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 before they start this course. This course teaches auditing principles using ISO 14001, therefore a basic knowledge of ISO 14001 and its application within a related organization is strongly recommended, together with internal audit experience.
Before attending this course, delegates are expected to have knowledge of the following environmental management principles and concepts:
- The purpose and benefits of an Environmental Management System
- Basic knowledge of managing EMS through Risk & opportunities
- Basic awareness of common examples of relevant national and local EMS related to legal requirements.
- Commonly used EMS terms and definitions as given in ISO 14001:2015
- Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001:2015
